SVEZHEN
Svezhen is a village in the south of Bulgaria, in the municipality of Brezovo and the region of Plovdiv. The village of Svezhen is located in Sarnena Sredna Gora, 32 km from Karlovo and 68 km from Plovdiv.
In the surrounding area of the village you can visit Thracian mounds, Thracian sanctuaries, ancient monastery and the place of death of the voivode Hadji Dimitar, on peak Kadrafil. 100 of houses in the village have been declared, from UNESCO, as an architectural and historical reserve. One of them is the house of Colonel Serafimov, the liberator of the Rhodopes. There are also several tourist routes.
